About the founder
Dr. Mike
Founder, Medical Exercise Training Institute
With more than four decades of experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, healthcare administration, and professional education, Dr. Mike has dedicated his career to helping exercise professionals develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to work responsibly with clients with medical conditions.
He helped establish the Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) certification in 1994 and has since taught thousands of professionals through METI's educational programs. His work emphasizes safe exercise application, measurable functional outcomes, clear documentation, and effective communication with medical providers.
METI's mission is to advance medical exercise training as a recognized, accountable professional pathway and help MedExPROs establish sustainable practices.
