METI Certification Renewal
All Medical Exercise Training Institute (METI) certifications require renewal every two years. Please check your certificate's expiration date. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we have updated our policies to make it easier for our members to renew and maintain their certifications.
METI certification renewal guidelines are as follows:
1. Complete a combination of 5 hours of either observation hours or medical exercise/post rehab related course work;
2. The observation hours must be completed under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, chiropractor, physician, nurse, massage therapist or athletic trainer;
3. Complete medical exercise/post rehab related course work. The course must be taught by a licensed physical therapist, chiropractor, physician, nurse, athletic trainer or massage therapist.
4. Complete the certification renewal process by submitting the necessary documentation and the renewal fee of $50.
5. Regardless of the exipration of your METI certification, due to Covid 19, we are waiving all reinstatement fees. Only submit the renewal fee along with your supporting documentation.
